Biographical Info

Denise Galan, RN, MSN, C- PNP is a Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for the Pediatric Urology practice within the Department of Urology for over 15 years. She strives to create a compassionate environment and maintains an informative dialogue for care with both parent and child.

Denise earned her undergraduate degree in nursing at Adelphi University in 1994. After graduation, she started her career at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital working in the Neonatal ICU, Pediatric ICU, as well as in General Pediatrics. She returned to school at New York University to earn her Master's degree as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Shortly after graduating in 2003, she joined Dr. Dix P. Poppas in the Department of Pediatric Urology. She specializes in treating children with daytime incontinence, nighttime bedwetting, urinary frequency, urinary tract infections, penile adhesions, and Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia.
